JSL development process

Scripting projects consist of 4 major components:

[1] Data input.
[2] Options, preferences, and parameters that need to be communicated through dialog boxes.
[3] The JMP script itself (.JSL file).
[4] Output.

We only require information related to Items 1, 2 and 4. Predictum will take care of Item 3.
Item 1. Describe your data analysis requirements and provide a representative sample in text, Excel or JMP format.
Item 2. Let us know about the options, parameters, and preferences to be considered.  Do you want provisions to:

- Restrict the analysis to particular products or production lines?
- Select the date range?
- Identify how the output should be presented, such as web pages, RTF file, etc.?
- Determine dissemination strategies?

Brainstorm the reporting possibilities with your colleagues. Look for opportunities to eliminate every possible nuisance associated with this analysis and to “mistake-proof” the process.
Item 3. Tell us about the output:

- How do you want it arranged?
- Do you want any special statistics included the reports?
- Would you like any directions or other messages included in the report?
- Are there any special headings?

An effective way to explain your requirements is to create a draft using Excel.  JMP screenshots can be captured and manipulated on a spreadsheet according to your requirements.

Get started with it - forward what you have - and we'll work with you to produce a detailed requirements document for your project.
